I'm delighted to learn that Riverside Nature Park has been awarded a Green Apple Award from the national Green Organisation. Turning down Durham and Crook for new town councils makes a Consett Town Council look less likely, and that's what happened today in the county council meeting. The consultation in Crook had given a pretty decisive thumbs down to plans for a town council.
