Ed Davey publihsed his New Year message just before the New Year. "Everywhere I go, everyone I meet - you make me proud to be British, and optimistic for our future. You give me great confidence that 2022 will be a Happy New Year for our country. And I hope it's a Happy New Year for you too."@EdwardJDavey pic.twitter.com/vfUV4GcY1z — Liberal Democrats (@LibDems) December 31, 2021 The text is below. Happy New Year, everyone. Even those commentators who treat the Fourth Gospel simply as a work of theology devoid of historical value must be impressed by the fact that this theology is written in a career-of-Jesus context (unlike the Johannine Epistles).1 Paul too was a theologian, but he did not write his theology in the framework of Jesus' earthly ministry. 1 Indeed, some would regard the Fourth Gospel as an attempt to ...

It's become a tradition of mine to pile up the books I've read each year for a once-a-year bookshelf filing binge. Which also means I can handily record in one photograph what I've read in the last year.

As it is the New Year, the Mirror has indulged itself a little by reminding us how wasteful and crony-driven Boris Johnson's government is. It is a litany of incompetence that should be shared more widely, especially in advance of an election. The paper says that research based on official figures claims that Government has blown £14.7 billion of public money on "wasteful" projects, crony contracts and duff deals. They report that analysis reveals around £3.6bn in public contracts have been handed to firms linked to individuals in government or the Conservative Party since Mr Johnson became Prime Minister, while ...

Residents recently highlighted to me that there were potholes on Marchfield Road - a particularly bad one at the bottom of the street but the road condition is also poor near the Middlebank Crescent junction. I raised this with the City Council's Roads Maintenance Partnership and am have been assured that an Order has been made to ensure repairs are undertaken.
