I was nine when this game was played and can't claim to remember it, though I think I remember Keith Jarrett's match in 1967 - as an 18-year-old debutant he scored 19 of Wales's 34 points against England. There were 4 principal by-elections this week on a soggy and snowy Thursday. We start with a cracking result on West Northamptonshire Council where Councillor Carl Squires gained East Hunsbury and Shelfleys ward from the Conservatives. Carl overcame a 1000 vote Conservative majority and took the seat from 3rd place in 2021 - increasing the Lib Dem vote share by over 15%! Bring on the donors

Another day, another list of new peers, as if the bloated carcass that is the House of Lords could get any bigger. Well apparently it can. And, surprise, surprise, it is the usual suspects being sent to the world's most powerful retirement home for past-it politicians, chums of the great and the good and of course party political donors. We recently received concerns about a number of blocked street drains in Glamis Road. We highlighted this to the City Council and have since been advised that our local roads inspector has raised an Order for these gullies to be unblocked.
